Eric John Elected ACCJ President For 2026
The ACCJ announces newly elected Board of Governors to lead the Chamber
Eric John, President of Boeing Japan K.K., has been elected President for 2026. The ACCJ members also elected one Treasurer, one Vice President–Tokyo, seven Governors–Tokyo, one Vice President–Kansai, and one Governor–Kansai to serve with the incumbent members on the 2026 ACCJ Board of Governors. The ACCJ Kansai Chapter also selected a Regional Treasurer (a non-board position).
"It is a great honor to be elected President of the ACCJ. In an era of rapid social, economic, and political change, strengthening the U.S.–Japan relationship through deeper economic engagement is more important than ever. The ACCJ plays a critical role in advancing this progress as the leading voice of global business in Japan,” said John.
John assumes the Presidency in a milestone year as the U.S. celebrates its 250th anniversary, presenting significant opportunities for both nations. The ACCJ will continue to sustain the momentum from the 2025 U.S.-Japan trade agreement and uphold its mission to champion the interests of its 3,000 members.
“The ACCJ is well-positioned to continue supporting an environment where U.S. companies can drive bilateral investment, innovation, and shared growth,” John said, expressing appreciation for Victor Osumi’s two years of steady leadership. “As industries adapt to technological advances and a shifting global landscape, I am committed to applying my industry and diplomatic experience to help businesses thrive and to reinforce the mutually beneficial partnership between our nations.”
