Associate Airworthiness Specialist

Supports the Senior Airworthiness Specialist with JCAB coordination, aircraft delivery documentation, translation of flight manuals and placards, and assisting with customer and internal team requests to ensure accurate and timely submissions.

Position Requirements​:

Education​:

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace/mechanical/electrical engineering, Aviation Science, or related field.

Experience​:

• 3-5 years in aviation, compliance, or technical publications.

Skills / Certifications​:

• Fluent Japanese and business-level English.

• Strong document control, organizational skills, and basic project coordination.

• Proficiency with Smartsheet/SharePoint/Excel.

Preferred​:

• Experience with rotorcraft or flight manual translation support.

• Knowledge of rotorcraft and rotorcraft systems

Primary Position Responsibilities & Outcomes​:

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and maintain documentation to support JCAB requirements.

• Assist with validation data preparation and coordination for Bell aircraft deliveries in Japan.

• Support translation of flight manuals, placards, and technical documents from English to Japanese when required.

• Support coordination with JCAB to obtain approval of flight manuals, documents, and data.

• Schedule, document, and track meetings and action items with JCAB, customers, and internal stakeholders.

• Maintain Standard Operating Procedures, trackers, logs, and documentation repositories to ensure accuracy and consistency.

• Coordinate with internal teams, including Sales, Customer Support & Services, and Customer Service Engineers, on certification-related tasks as directed.

• Provide administrative and technical support during customer acceptance and delivery activities.

• Monitor timelines, flag risks or delays, and support continuous improvement in documentation and workflow processes.

Outcomes:

• Accurate, high-quality bilingual documentation with minimal rework.

• On-time submission of certification and delivery packages supporting smooth aircraft deliveries.

• Improved task cycle time and operational transparency through well-maintained trackers and Standard Operating Procedures.

• Strong support for the Senior Airworthiness Staff, enabling efficient coordination with JCAB and customers.

• Consistent, reliable documentation and meeting records that enhance cross-team communication and alignment.
