Secure Digital Infrastructure

The mandate of this Committee is to support the acceleration of implementation of advanced secure digital technologies into industries like critical infrastructures. As data continues to fuel innovation, the internet-of-things, AI, and big data are expanding the economy and resolving social issues.

At the same time, protection of personal information, intellectual property, and industrial data requires technical leadership in cybersecurity and trust to safeguard both private and public interests.

As Prime Minister Abe introduced at the G20 Summit in 2019, the Osaka Track initiative for Data Free Flow with Trust is at the center of this movement. It is also imperative for the ACCJ to now advocate for the establishment of objective standards for trustworthiness as ongoing discussions occur between the U.S. and Japan Governments.
