Tweeboom, and Executive Director Laura Younger were honored to meet with Minister of Finance Satsuki Katayama on September 9. The delegation discussed the Ministry’s leadership in advancing Japan’s financial market reforms, strengthening Japan as a global asset management hub, and driving sustainable growth.

The ACCJ values the close financial coordination between the U.S. and Japanese governments to ensure market stability and predictability. We are grateful for Minister Katayama’s leadership on these reforms and for the opportunity to share the ACCJ’s position.

The Chamber remains committed to collaborating with the Ministry of Finance and the Financial Services Agency to enhance capital efficiency, encourage foreign direct investment, and contribute to shared economic goals.

We look forward to continuing this dialogue with the Government of Japan, as well as Japan’s public and private sectors, to build an even stronger U.S.-Japan economic partnership.
