<Job Purpose>
Under the direction of the Head of Government and External Relations, this role will play a central part in developing and implementing public policy strategies that support a sound and sustainable business environment, while strengthening relationships with key stakeholders in both Japan and other countries, focusing the United States where our HQ located. The ideal candidate will have strong policy acumen, excellent communication skills, and a track record of effective stakeholder engagement across government and private sector.

<Primary Responsibilities>
- Develop and implement Japan policy strategies for Amway, including annual planning, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement (both internal and external).

- Engage with Japanese lawmakers and government agencies to explain the company’s position on key policy issues and encourage the development of fair and balanced regulations that support sustainable business growth.

- Leverage the company’s U.S. headquarters network and relationships with the U.S. Embassy in Japan to enhance engagement with Japanese political stakeholders.

- Work to influence consumer policy in Japan by applying insights from global best practices, bilateral dialogue and international networks to support regulatory alignment and effective policy development.

- Monitor, analyze, and report on the policy environment surrounding the company’s business in a timely and strategic manner, providing insights and updates to relevant internal and external stakeholders.

- Build and maintain networks of relationships with political, business, and opinion leaders and institutions, special focus on bilateral and international networks (ACCJ, USJBC, etc.) whose views and messages influence Amway’s business model. Engage directly with key outside contacts. Recommend and create strategic engagement activities, to colleagues, supervisor, and other Amway Japan executives.

- Collaborate across functional lines within Amway to create teams and synergies to　effectively and efficiently accomplish specific projects and advance division and　corporate strategic objectives.

<Requirement>
- 3+ years related experience
- Strong understanding of Japan’s political and regulatory landscape
- Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English (written and spoken)
- Bachelor's+ degree
